Clinton Martin Park Poolside Concert
North Hempstead Town Clinton Martin Park will hold a poolside concert at 7:30 p.m. featuring Renegade in concert. This band stands alone, close your eyes and listen to your favorite songs come alive. Saint Aidan to Collect School Supplies
The Church of Saint Aidan will be collecting school supplies on Aug. 23from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the front of the church or donations can be brought directly to the Parish Social Ministry Office the week before or after. The items particularly needed are backpacks, calculators, one, three and five subject spiral Five Star notebooks, marble notebooks, plain and decorated folders, pencils, flexible three ring binders, pens, colored markers, crayons, colored pencils, scissors, construction paper, and all other miscellaneous items. Donated items will be distributed to children here in our local schools. John’s Variety located at 81 Hillside Avenue is kindly offering a 10 percent discount to those purchasing items for the School Supply Drive.
