Heckscher Museum’s Golf Classic Honored Edward Travaglianti

The Heckscher Museum of Art held its second annual Heckscher Museum Golf Classic on Monday, July 13, at the Huntington Country Club. The proceeds from this event will go towards the Museum’s educational programs, helping the Museum continue its mission of “inspiring in all people a life-long appreciation of the visual arts” and of serving the Long Island community with creativity, spirit and innovation.

The Heckscher Museum was thrilled to have the opportunity to honor Edward Travaglianti, president, TD Bank Long Island, for his contributions to the Long Island community. The company recently opened a branch in a new building in Glen Head.

The Heckscher Museum of Art engages visitors through stimulating and inspiring exhibitions, programs, and educational offerings dedicated to a full understanding of the visual arts. Industrialist August Heckscher founded the Museum in 1920, and the collection is focused on 19th to 21st century European and American art. The Heckscher is located in Heckscher Park, on Main Street (Route 25A) and Prime Avenue in Huntington Village, NY, on Long Island’s North Shore.
