Tracey Simon Takes the Reigns
The Floral Park Public Library Board of Trustees is pleased to announce that Tracey Simon was appointed library director effective Oct. 5. Previously, Simon was the assistant director at the Lynbrook Public Library. She has worked in the library field for more than 17 years.
In addition to her work as a librarian, Simon has experience in grant writing, public relations and library promotion.
In 2002, Simon served as president of the Nassau County Library Association, one of the largest local organizations in the United States dedicated to improving the status of libraries and library-related professions with close to 1,000 members.
“I am excited to be part of the Floral Park Library family and eager to help steer the library toward becoming an even more vibrant and attractive place for the community,” Simon said.
Members of the board invite residents to visit the library and welcome Simon to the community.
