Holiday Fair

Handmade fall and Christmas decorations, crafts, gifts, baby quilts, cakes, cards and an Attic Treasures table. Coffee and cake will be available. Jim Sunde Chili Challenge

Craft Fair

St. Pius X School of Melville will sponsor a Craft Fair featuring pictures with Santa, handmade items, ornaments, wood crafts and many other items. 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the VFW Hall, 320 S. Broadway, Hicksville. Call 631-351-0116.

Holiday Parade

The Farmingdale Chamber of Commerce will be presenting its annual Holiday Parade. The parade begins at noon at Northside School and features marching bands and kickline. Come see the parade along Main St. and visit Santa at the Village Green. Santa will be handing out candy canes and saying hello to all the boys and girls. This is an opportunity to take your holiday photo with Santa, so bring your camera.

Farmingdale K of C #2204 Bowling Fundraiser

A large multi-family garage sale will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on both Saturday, Nov. 21 and Sunday, Nov. 22 at 147 Whitney St., Westbury (one block east of Carle Place High School).

Let Freedom Ring: A Salute to Veterans

The season opening performance of the Northwinds Symphonic Band, will be held at the Cradle of Aviation Museum in Garden City at 2:30 p.m. The concert pays tribute to all those brave Americans, past and present, who have selflessly answered the call to duty. The repertoire will include music associated with the Revolutionary and Civil Wars and the wars of the 20th and 21st century, featuring works by Aaron Copland, James Hosay, Clare Grundman and William Billings. The program will also feature patriotic American standards and the music of Broadway during times of war. Guest artists will include a vocalist and dancers who will “strut their stuff” to the Big Band Music of the ‘40s. Admission is free, and, in addition, the Cradle of Aviation museum is offering a buy one get one free admission to the exhibits on the day of the concert.

Long Island Choral Society

Presents Mozart’s Requiem, Puccini’s Gloria and Pärt’s Beatitudes. The concert will also feature an organ and orchestra. 4 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Shelter Rock, 48 Shelter Rock Rd., Manhasset. The program will include: Requiem by W.A. Mozart with soloists (sopranos, Carol L. Carmen, Patricia Gallagher, Susan Ann Laustsen and Katrina L. Montagna, altos, Debbie Bertolini, Beth-Ann Fredrickson and Deborah Goldstein of Melville, tenor William J. Schmitt III, baritone Ladd Jeffers and bass Michael J. Plant; Messa di Gloria by Giacomo Puccini with soloists (tenors, John P. Evans, R. Todd Hoisington, William J. Schmitt III, baritone Stephen V. Treglia and basses Anthony Barton and Michael J. LI’s Fight for Charity

Throws a Knockout Punch at Economy without Being Provoked. Many fine food establishments are offering tasting of their most popular dishes all included in the ticket price and are open throughout the evening. Craft Fair Extraordinaire

•Bingo every Monday and some Saturdays there is a Bingo Game to support the Arthritis Foundation LI Chapter. •Do You Speak Yinglish? The Yiddish Club, an entertaining, enjoyable, social experience, allows individuals of varying language abilities to speak “Yinglish,” a combination of Yiddish and English.
