We are writing this letter in support for the election of Robert Lang as fire commissioner. Our support for Robert Lang does not come from our involvement in the Hicksville Fire Department, but rather as fellow residents of Hicksville.
We have known Robert Lang for over 12 years. It did not take long from our initial meeting on the sidelines of a soccer field to recognize Robert Lang possessed the qualities of a true leader. He is committed, level headed and fair. Robert Lang knows what it takes to work together for a common goal and he is willing to put in the effort to achieve that goal.
Through the years watching our daughters progress from playing soccer in the lower grades to college lacrosse together, Robert Lang’s support and volunteerism never ceased. He has the drive and ambition to get involved and stay involved. His lifelong status as a Hicksville resident, longtime employment by the New York City Fire Department, and his years as Hicksville Fire Department Chief are enough evidence to us that Robert Lang is committed to this community.
On Dec. 8, we are voting for the best candidate. Please join us in voting for Robert Lang as next fire commissioner.
