Village of New Hyde Park
The Village of New Hyde Park will hold its Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony on December 5 beginning at 3 p.m. with a program at Marcus Christ Hall for the children. Included will be a performance by The Magic of Amore and the children will then be treated to some goodies. On or about 4 to 4:30 p.m. the program will move outside to the New Hyde Park Village lawn where the New Hyde Park Memorial chorus and orchestra will perform traditional Christmas music.
Santa will arrive and the trees will be lighted to officially start the Christmas season in the Village of New Hyde Park.
Village of Williston Park
The Village of Williston Park Christmas Tree lighting festivities will be held on the lawn of Williston Park Village hall, 494 Willis Avenue, Williston Park at 6 p.m. at which time the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts will gather to sing Christmas Carols with the orchestra.
The children will then hear the bells of Santa high atop a Williston Park fire truck, accompanied by Rudolph and many other snow friends. The caravan will move to the Williston Park library where Santa will greet the children with goodies and hot chocolate.
