Robert J. Smith, 47-year resident of Hicksville, died on Dec. 16, 2009. He was US Navy veteran of WWII and Korea. He coached Little League. Longtime dedicated service in the Carle Place schools. Husband of the late Mary. Father of Robert (Theresa), Joseph (Laura) and Eileen Roehrig (Chris). Grandfather of Frank, Robert, Thomas, Joseph, Emma, Anabelle and Celine.
The family was cared for by the Thomas F. Dalton Funeral Home, Hicksville Chapel. Mass at St. Ignatius RC Church. Interment Holy Rood Cemetery.
