Herricks Community Fund Dinner Dance

The Herricks Community Fund will hold its Annual Dinner Dance at the Crest Hollow Country Club from 7 p.m. to midnight. For further information please call 742-1926.

Art League of Nassau County To Hold Meeting

The Art League of Nassau County will hold its meeting from 7:30 to 10 p.m. at the Clinton Martin Park Recreational Center, corner of New Hyde Park Road and Marcus Avenue. There will be a live demonstration by Bert Winsberg. He will be painting a watercolor landscape. All are welcome. Refreshments will be served. Call 437-0919.

At the 7 p.m. Dahlias 101 class we’ll teach you how to understand the Dahlia Society Classification Book. Valentine Tea At Hillside Public Library

Friends of the Hillside Public Library will hold its third annual Valentine’s Tea to be held in the all-purpose room of the Hillside Public Library on Feb. 7 from 12:30 to 3 p.m. The cost is $15 per person and includes tea, scones, sandwiches and dessert. Copies of the flier will be available at the Hillside Public Library – requests for tickets must be mailed with the tear-off sheet and check or dropped off with your check to the library to secure your reservation. Seating is limited. Raffles will be available – please bring your prettiest teacup. This is an adults only activity.

Shelter Rock Library Board To Hold Monthly Meeting

The Board of Trustees of the Shelter Rock Public Library will hold their monthly board meeting at 8 p.m. in the library’s program room. The meeting may contain an Executive Session for discussion of contract and personnel issues. The public is invited to attend.

Last Day to Pay Town of North Hempstead General Taxes. The Town of North Hempstead has announced that today is the last day to pay 2010 General Town Taxes for the residents of the town. Website lists locations where taxes may be paid.
