Book Signing Event

Author C.P. Siebenhuener will be available to sign copies of her children’s book, But What if I Don’t Understand? The book introduces an adorable little girl who learns the very important lesson of honesty, communication and self confidence. 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the POB Kindergarten Center, 33 Bedford Rd. Benefit/Fundraiser

Held at Mulcahy’s Music Hall in Wantagh, in memory of James D. McNaughton, a New York City Police Officer who was killed in Iraq. The proceeds from the event will be donated to two great charities – The Wounded Warrior Project and The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund. The Wounded Warriors Project seeks to assist those men and women of our armed forces who have been severely injured during the conflicts in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other locations around the world. The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund has provided more than $65 million in support for the families of military personnel lost in service to our nation, and for severely wounded military personnel and veterans.

Temple Chaverim of Plainivew invites you to an adult education program “Eat and Learn” at 5:30 p.m. Enjoy a catered dinner followed by a talk by Professor Christopher Williams, associate vice president for Government Relations and Public Policy at C.W. Post Long Island University entitled “The Seven Jewish Justices of the United States Supreme Court.” Professor Williams will discuss the justices’ personal stories as well as their impact on American jurisprudence.
