Mystery Picture Remains a Mystery

Billy Minicozzi guessed that the mystery picture of two Adirondack chairs was taken at the Sagamore Yacht Club (a good guess, but not on the mark). On a sports note he wished good luck to the American women’s and men’s hockey teams playing in the Olympics in Vancouver, Canada. “I hope they win the gold,” he said.

America appears to be winning the most number of medals as the Olympics progress with seven gold and about 17 others, as we went to press on Monday. Many countries themselves support their Olympic teams while the United States Olympians have to find their own funding – which for the leading athletes comes through corporate sponsorships. Corporate/businesses fund the fun.

According to the Daily Inquirer of Vancouver, “The United States continues its medal hoarding with 24 medals, 7 gold, 7 silver and 10 bronze. The next medal giant, Germany, now has 18 medals with 6 gold, 7 silver and 5 bronze. Norway maintained its 3rd place with 12 medals, 5 gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze.

“South Korea rebounds back to 4th place and is tied with Canada with 9 medals. Both teams have four gold, four silver, and one bronze medals.”

It’s an exciting event that we hope you too have been enjoying!
