On Sunday, Feb. 28, the Levittown PAL Unit hosted their first wrestling tournament. The tournament success was driven by support from the Levittown School District athletic staff, student volunteers from MacArthur and Division Avenue High School wrestling programs, Levittown PAL wrestling parents and the Levittown PAL executive board led by Board President Ed Lloyd and police officer, Director James Graham.
The tournament hosted over 250 wrestlers from throughout the tri-state area from as far away as upstate New York. Over 50 wrestling clubs or schools participated.
The tournament established the Levittown PAL Wrestling Program as a force in Levittown Youth Wrestling. The Levittown PAL Lions, under the direction of PAL Wrestling Program Director and Coach George Tamborello, were represented by 26 of their own wrestlers at the event and achieved over a dozen individual and team championships.
