Obituary – Saul Israel Barth

Saul Israel Barth, 85, of East Farmingdale, passed away March 4, 2010. WWII U.S. Army veteran and Purple Heart recipient. Active member of VFW Post 516, 50-year Communicant of St. Thomas Episcopal Church and member of the Farmingdale-Bethpage Historical Society. Survived by his daughter, Sandra Thomson, son-in-law Dr. Michael Thomson, two granddaughters, two nieces and one nephew. Predeceased in 1990 by his wife, Violet, and their son, William Alan Barth. Arrangements were made by Arthur F. White Funeral Home. Requiem Mass was held March 8 at St. Thomas Episcopal Church with a committal service following at Long Island National Cemetery. Donations in Saul’s memory may be sent to either St. Thomas Church or VFW Post 516, Farmingdale.
