ALI’s Housing and Development Task Force presents an event that will connect renters and buyers of all ages and backgrounds with lenders, builders, landlords, realtors, attorneys, the Long Island Housing Partnership, Habitat for Humanity, the Division of Housing and Community Renewal, Community Development Corporation of LI and many others to help Long Islanders find and finance the perfect place to live. The event will feature workshops and there will also be a special presentation at 12:30 p.m. on The Future of Housing and Development on Long Island. WOR 710’s Dottie Herman will broadcast “Eye on Real Estate” Live from the event from 10 a.m. to noon. 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Farmingdale State College. Admission is free. No registration necessary. Sound Success For ALS Show
The Raves, a classic rock band, legendary singer Ian Lloyd’s Stories, That 70s Band and Barnaby Bye will supply entertainment. The Red, White & Blues Band, will be playing in memory of Eric “Mango” Vartdal. Special guests include Godfrey Townsend (of Alan Parsons Project), Andy Aledort (of Dickey Betts) and folk legend Caroline Doctorow. Food, raffles, drink specials, celebrity guests and door prizes. See the Birds in Massapequa Preserve
Join the South Shore Audubon Society for a bird walk at the Massapequa Preserve from 9:30 a.m. to noon. The walk leaders and other birders and nature enthusiasts will be happy to share their knowledge and experience with you. The bird walk is free. Bring binoculars. Rain will cancel. Seussical the Musical

Briarcliffe College Art Gallery
Briarcliffe College has announced the opening of a permanent art gallery at its Bethpage location at 1055 Stewart Ave. The first installation showcases the work of Briarcliffe College faculty covering illustration, fine and graphics arts, sculpture, photography, and printmaking. The gallery will be open to the general public during the college’s regular Monday to Saturday business hours, with free admission and parking. The public is also invited to the grand opening of the art gallery and reception for the faculty exhibit today from 7 to 9 p.m. The faculty exhibit runs from April 26 through July 8, followed by “The Living Classroom” scheduled to begin on July 15.

LIVE Corporate Orientation/Team Volunteering Seminar
Employees of civic-minded corporations and members of business groups, academic institutions, nonprofits and community/religious groups – do you have one day out of the year to donate to your fellow Long Islanders? If so, attend a LIVE orientation and learn about team volunteering. LI Volunteer Enterprise mobilizes teams of volunteers to adopt and complete a one day project for a not for profit organization in need. Spring Swing
Mill Neck Family’s fourth annual Spring Swing Invitational Golf Tournament will be held at the North Hills Country Club in Manhasset on May 24. Sportscaster and author Len Berman will join the event, where he’ll play golf and speak at the Champions Dinner. Entries are limited to the first 25 men’s, ladies’ or mixed foursomes. All golfers will receive an autographed copy of Berman’s new book The Greatest Moments in Sports. Additional copies will be available for purchase. For an entry fee of $350 per person, guests will enjoy delicious brunch, golf challenges and food and refreshments on the 7th, 10th and 12th holes of the course. Cocktails, a Champions Dinner, honoree recognition, raffle prizes, a silent auction and golf contest awards will follow the tournament. Don’t play golf?
