William J. Labbate, of Farmingdale, died on May 11, 2010. He was a WWII Navy veteran. Husband of Gladys. Father and father-in-law of William Jr. and Kate, Robert and Luanne and Laura Labbate. Brother of Vera Schmitt, Grace Hedde, Frank Labbate, Lawrence Labbate. Grandfather of the late Betty-Jo, William III, Christine and Megan. Arrangements entrusted to the McCourt & Trudden Funeral Home, Farmingdale. Interment Calverton National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Long Island State Veterans Home, 100 Patriots Rd., Stony Brook, NY 11790, would be appreciated.
