Garbage and Recycling Information
Village offices were closed on Monday, May 31, 2010 in observance of Memorial Day. Those scheduled for recycling are asked to put their recyclables out on Monday, June 7. The holiday collection schedule will be as follows: Residents west of Rockaway Avenue — garbage pickup on Tuesday and Friday; residents east of Rockaway Avenue — garbage pickup on Wednesday and Saturday.
Garden City Bird Sanctuary – 15th Anniversary Celebration
I have been informed that the Garden City Bird Sanctuary will be celebrating its Fifteenth Anniversary with a Celebration Benefit on Saturday, June 5, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Bird Sanctuary (opposite 181 Tanners Pond Road). This event will feature strawberry shortcake, food, beverages, music, raffle prizes and entertainment. Tickets are $30 for non-members and $25 for members. Board of Trustees Meetings
The next board of trustees meetings will be held on Thursday, June 3; and Thursday, June 17. The meetings will be held in the boardroom at Village Hall and will begin at 8 p.m.
