Williston Park Fire Department to Hold 4th of July Parade
The Williston Park Fire Department Fire Department will hold its Annual 4th of July Parade. The parade will step off at 9 a.m. and will go west on Hillside Avenue, then go north on Park Avenue to Center Street, turn south on Willis Avenue to the fire house for a brief ceremony. One of the very few 4th of July parades in the immediate area.

Celebration of Independence Day, therefore all banks, libraries and The Illustrated News/Anton Community Newspapers offices will be closed.
Dahlia Club Meeting and Class
Carefree dahlia growing. Time saving tips that don’t sacrifice results is the topic of the 7 p.m. Dahlias 101 Class. Reorganization and Regular Board of Education Meeting
The New Hyde Park/Garden City Park School Board will hold its Reorganizational and regular board of education meeting at 7:30 p.m. at the Manor Oaks School, 1950 Hillside Avenue, New Hyde Park. Main topic to address will be revised Code of Conduct. First on the agenda will be the Reorganizational meeting and that will be followed by the regular meeting.

Cellini Lodge to Hold Mad Hatter’s Happy Un-Birthday Party
At 7 p.m. at Marcus Christ Hall, on the grounds of New Hyde Park Village Hall, corner of New Hyde Park Road and Jericho Turnpike, New Hyde Park, the New Hyde Park Cellini Lodge No. 2206 will hold a Mad Hatter’s Happy Un-Birthday Party. Admission is one nicely wrapped gift per person (value of $5 or more) to be collected at the door. To include: Heroes, salads, soda, water, variety of flavored hot tea, coffee and un-birthday cake. Demonstration of New Voting Machines at Hillside Library
Representatives of the Nassau County Board of Elections will be at the Hillside Public Library, 155 Lakeville Rd., New Hyde Park from 1 to 3 p.m.to demonstrate how to use the new voting machines. They will be located in the lobby of the building and will explain how these machines will work to all who are interested. This is an excellent opportunity to become a better-prepared voter!
