The Last Night of Ballyhoo
From the Pulitzer Prize-winning author Alfred Uhry, comes a touching and bittersweet comedy, set in 1939 Atlanta, of an upperclass Jewish family coping with budding romances, the rumblings of World War II, the premiere of Gone With the Wind and, above all, Ballyhoo, the biggest social event of the year. Directed by by Pamela Seiderman. Recommended for ages 13 and older. Performances July 16, 23, 30 at 8 p.m.; July 17, 24, 31 at 8 p.m.; July 18, 25, Aug. 1 at 2 p.m. in the Monroe Lecture Center Theater, California Avenue, South Campus, Hofstra University.
