Join the Mid-Island Y Jewish Community Center for a summer celebration of fun at the 9th Annual Tour de Fundraiser Family Night at the Henry Kaufmann Campgrounds on Wednesday, July 28, from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., rain date Thursday, June 29.
More than 400 parents and children attended last year’s celebration, which raised $6,500. Proceeds from Tour de Fundraiser enable the JCC to provide financial support to families who cannot afford to send their children to summer camp.
This year’s event will feature music and dancing, air bouncers, carnival games, a Chinese auction, snacks and refreshments. Back by popular demand will be a watermelon-eating contest as well as a “hot shot hoops” timed free throw basketball contest. Beginning at 5:30 p.m., hamburgers, hot dogs and pretzels will be available for purchase.
Admission is $38 per family, which includes 10 Chinese auction raffle tickets, or $25 per family without tickets. Raffle tickets can be purchased at $2 each, or purchase 12 for $20. Tickets for Tour de Fundraiser are available for purchase in the JCC’s lobby.
