Thomas E. Munro, born March 11, 1930 in Brooklyn, passed away October 7, 2010 in Charlottesville, VA. Formerly of East Hampton, he is survived by his wife Helen Kane Munro of Charlottesville, VA; son Thomas E. Munro, Jr., his wife Jody, and their three children, all of Millsboro, DE. He is also remembered by the extended Kane family of Farmingdale and Charlottesville, VA, numerous cousins and friends. An Army veteran and member of the VFW and American Legion in Charlottesville, VA, Uncle Tom will be remembered as a distinguished gentleman, philosopher, debator, historian and man of his many passions. Arrangements were made by Arthur F. White Funeral Home. Funeral Mass was celebrated by his childhood friend, Fr. Kieran Fergus, OP, October 13 at St. Kilian RC Church with interment following at St. Charles Cemetery. His family wishes to thank Dr. Geoffrey R. Weiss and the staff of the UVA Cancer Center, including the doctors and nurses of the Intensive Care Unit.
