Autumn Fair
The Hardscrabble Senior Citizen’s Association will hold its annual Autumn Fair at the Senior Apartments Community Building, 404 Main St. (adjacent to Waldbaum’s Shopping Center), from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be something for all ages including a White Elephant Sale, baked goods, plants, religious items, raffles, and snacks. Holiday Chinese Auction
A fun-filled night is planned. There will be a great many gifts raffled off, free coffee and cake and one free sheet of chances, Super Sweeps, Big Sweeps, toys table, lottery ticket raffle, 50/50 raffle. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. at the 110 Bingo Hall, 585 Broadhollow Rd., Melville (across from Kentucky Fried Chicken, one quarter mile from Adventureland, same side of street). Food court available. Turkey and Trimmings Drive
Long Islanders will be able to help the many LI families in need this holiday season by donating turkeys and holiday dry goods during the second Annual Bethpage Federal Credit Union “Turkey & Trimmings” drive to benefit LI Harvest. The food drive will include daylong and after-school activities for family fun including raffles, children’s activities and special guests. Drop off frozen turkeys, holiday dry goods, supermarket “turkey” receipts and gift certificates from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the front parking lot of the Bethpage Federal Credit Union, 899 South Oyster Bay Rd., Bethpage, or at any of Bethpage’s branch locations.

This professionally facilitated group meets on Mondays from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. and allows participants opportunities to share feelings and strategies related to caring for a person with Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia.
