Farmingdale speedster Colleen Gardner scored second place among the women in the Athena 140-159 pound weight division in the third annual Grillo Associates Blazing Trails 4 Autism 4 Mile run on Sunday, Oct. 24.
“Our hearty congratulations to Farmingdale’s Colleen Gardner, and our sincere thanks to Rich Grillo of Grillo & Associates,” said Race Director Robyn Schneider of the hosting Greater Long Island Running Club. “Everyone who took part in the run can take pride in having helped Eden II and the Genesis Foundation in their efforts to support children and adults with autism through specialized programs designed to help them achieve the highest possible quality of living throughout their lives.”
The 33-year-old Gardner crossed the finish line in 33 minutes, 40 seconds, a pace of 8:26 per mile.
