Toys for Tots held its Annual Kick-Off, under the direction of Major Chuck Kilbride Ret, USMC, this year at Oheka Castle, in Huntington, possibly one of the most beautiful venues on Long Island, through the courtesy of Gary Melius. The main dining room was packed with many dignitaries and supporters, all who came with gift in hand to add to the many toys already on display.
Anton Community Newspapers Publisher Angela Susan Anton, with Nassau County Executive Edward Mangano, who was named this year’s chairperson for Toys for Tots, along with Derek Partee of Hempstead, Major Chuck Kilbride USMC Retired, who heads the Toys for Tots Program, Sergeant Brian Gomes, USMC Assistant Coordinator for Toys for Tots and Hempstead Town Councilman Edward Ambrosino.
