West Island Model Railroad Club
Open House in its new location at 485 S. Broadway, Unit 22A, Hicksville, in the Broadway Business Center just off Route 107. The new HO scale model railroad, named the Allegheny & Western, will depict selected scenes from actual rail lines ranging from Harrisburg, PA, to New York Harbor and as far north as the coal fields of eastern Pennsylvania. Club members have constructed a double track mainline over 650 feet in length (almost eleven scale miles). Trains, having realistic lighting and sound, are controlled by a state-of-the-art electronic control system. Visitors will get the chance to see and discuss all aspects of constructing model railroads with club members. The Open House is the club’s major fund raising event, and donations are appreciated.
