The Nassau County Robbery Squad reports the details of a Bank Robbery that occurred on Thursday Jan. 6, at 8:10 a.m. in Bellerose Village.
According to detectives, a male black subject approximately 30 years old, 6’2,” wearing a black knit cap, black trench coat, black sunglasses and black gloves entered the Chase Bank, located at 247-20 Jericho Turnpike.
The subject displayed a black handgun and demanded money from bank employees. After obtaining an unknown amount of U.S. currency the subject fled the scene on foot westbound through the bank parking lot, police said. Four employees and no customers were present at the time of the robbery. No injuries were reported.
