Billy Minicozzi Knows Oyster Bay
Billy Minicozzi recognized the mystery picture in the Feb. 24 issue of the Enterprise Pilot. He said it’s “A church building opposite the Food Basket in Bayville.” On a sports note, he said the Mets were in Florida where exhibition games and spring training is about to begin.
We took the mystery photo while exiting the Food Basket in Bayville, after the blizzard and were amazed to see the giant pile of snow in the parking lot. It was where we met Bayville Mayor Doug Watson and his wife Donna shopping at the Food Basket on Saturday, Feb. 26.
That was just after we watched The King’s Speech at the Glen Cove movie theater. Sunday night as we watched the Oscar’s it was getting nerve-wracking. What if Colin Firth.. didn’t win? Thank goodness he did. It was a great movie, and thinking of this week’s editorial, it was the story of a great teacher – if you accept the idea that the speech therapist was a kind of teacher. It was also about the upbringing of a child, in this case, the future king who was pinched and not fed by his first Nanny, leaving him some scars from his childhood.
It’s nice when the newspaper stories come together isn’t it.
Do keep guessing and calling the Enterprise Pilot.
