Bulldogs Finish Season on High Note

The Island Trees Wrestling Team finished the season as league champs for the first time since 2006. The team finished the season with an overall record of 17-9 (5-1 league). The Bulldogs then went on to place 19 wrestlers in the qualifying tournament. The team qualified 12 wrestlers for the county tournament. Qualifiers for the counties were Nick Fogarty (9), Tom Mignone (11), Lucas Panebianco (10), Matt Jiminez (10), Chris Altamura (12), Billy Ziegler (11), Brandon Cassar (10), Anthony Barletta (11), Keith Andersen (12), Kevin Strauss (10), Tom Sinclair (10) and Joseph Manna (12). With so many underclassmen returning next year, the Bulldogs have great hopes for the 2011-2012 campaign.
