American Legion Auxiliary to Hold Dinner Dance
The Williston Park American Legion Auxiliary, 730 Willis Ave., Williston Park will be hold a Spring Fling Dinner Dance from 7 to 11 p.m. on March 26th. The donation of $45 per person includes a full sit-down dinner, open bar all evening together with DJ music and dancing. Reservations by March 12. Stewart Manor/New Hyde Park GOP to Hold Meeting
The Stewart Manor-New Hyde Park Republican Club will hold its meeting at 7 p.m. at the St. James Lutheran Community Church at the corner of Elton Road and Chester Avenue in Stewart Manor. Hempstead Town Receiver of Taxes Don Clavin will be on hand to discuss his commitment to enhanced tax office services and his innovative approach to implementing them since first being elected in 2001. Spinner’s Grinners Laughter Yoga In New Hyde Park
Take time to participate in a series of laughter, breathing and playfulness exercises with many, many health benefits. Billboard Players Present The Fame Game
The Billboard Players presents an original musical, The Fame Came, book by Louis V. Long Island Conservatory of Music Art Show and Concert
The Long Island Conservatory of Music will be hosting a benefit art show and concert to help those in Japan who have been devastated by the earthquake and tsunami. The art show will be gin at 4 p.m. and will feature student work. Immediately following at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m., the faculty of the conservatory will feature a classical music concert with proceeds to be sent to the Japan relief effort. All are invited. Go Dog Go at Long Island Children’s Museum
At 12:30 and 3:30 p.m. P.D. Eastman’s classic children’s book comes to life on the LICM stage in an exploration of movement, color and space. The dogs delve into life with gusto, creating a visual spectacle for the audience to enjoy. They snorkel. They howl at the moon. They ride a Ferris wheel. They sing, dance and climb trees. This show is like a pop-up book that comes to life – and never stops. Go, Dog. Go! was first presented by Seattle Children’s Theatre for the 2002-2003 season and is produced by special arrangement with “Plays for Young Audiences,” a partnership of Seattle Children’s Theater and Children’s Theatre Company – Minneapolis Ages: 3 and up.
