Hot Ryde in Roslyn, a premiere indoor cycling studio and fitness center, will host a three-hour cycling marathon, fitness expo and celebration on Sunday, April 3, from noon to 5 p.m. to benefit Mission: Restore, a Manhasset-based nonprofit organization that provides life-changing reconstructive surgery to women and children in need throughout the world. The organization also educates and trains future medical professionals dedicated to volunteer care as well as invests in scientific research focused on developing better plastic surgery practices and procedures.
The event, called Ryde to Restore, will also feature personal fitness training, yoga and barre classes as well as kick boxing and karate classes. There will also be activities throughout the day for children of all ages. The cost to attend is $50 per person, and participants in the cycling marathon are encouraged to collect pledges from family and friends. One hundred percent of the proceeds will benefit Mission: Restore.
Hot Ryde is located at 55 Lumber Road in Roslyn. The cycling marathon and fitness classes will be held from noon to 3 p.m. From 3 to 5 p.m., there will be an awards ceremony and celebration with great food and music as well as a silent auction, raffles, and a luxury shopping boutique set up.
The event was the brainchild of Carolyn Spector, the Executive Director of Mission: Restore, and Janell Baker, the owner of Hot Ryde.
