Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly has welcomed to the world a new baby girl.
The host of “America Live” and her husband, Doug Brunt, had their second child arrive at 10 a.m. this morning in New York.
The couple have named their daughter Yardley, and the baby came into the world weighing 7 lbs, 12 oz.
The couple married in 2008, and Yardley already has a big brother, named Edward Yates Brunt, who is 19 months old.
Kelly is the very popular anchor of “America Live”, which airs from 1 to 3 p.m. on weekday’s. Kelly got her start with Fox News in 2004, where she quickly climbed the ranks to become anchor of her own show.
Her replacement while in labor, Martha MacCallum, gave the first official words of the birth during “America Live”. MacCallum started by saying “As you know, Megyn Kelly does a fantastic job every day on this show, but today she did something even better: she gave birth to a bouncing baby girl.”
In Kelly’s final day on the air before she went into labor this time around, she ran a segment on five things you should not ask pregnant women. One of them was guessing the due date.
Joking around with her audience, Kelly said “if you ask me when I’m due and I’m vague, just be quiet. We both know you’re wondering how I got so big so fast.”
