Record Store Day 2011

Remember when people used to actually leave their house to buy music?

Well, today is Record Store Day, and it might be the one day out of the year when people actually stay away from iTunes, and head over to their favorite record store.

Record Store Day began in 2006 when a group of music enthusiast created the day to celebrate the hundreds of record retailers across the country.

During the past Record Store Day’s, retailers would have special releases and a number of promotional items. Customers might also walk into a store, and find that a live performance is going on.
