royal weddingWith the Royal Wedding only days away, Prince William and Kate Middleton have announced their guest list for their wedding at the Westminster Abbey on Friday, April 29.

The guest list has been a topic of conversation by people all over the world, and this “selected guest list” should be able to satisfy those who have been waiting months to hear the names on the list.

And the first name on the list: The Queen.

The note on the list says Beckham has worked with Prince William on a number of occasions as ambassadors of England’s 2018 World Cup bid. Ritchie is a “friend” of William and Middleton, Elton John performed at Princess Diana’s funeral, and William met Thorpe–an Australian Olympic swimmer–on a visit to Australia in 2010.

Dignitaries from all over the world will also be invited. Among those who will be in attendance are: The Prime Minister of Australia and Mr. Tim Matheison, the Prime Minister of the Bahamas and Ms Delores Miller, the Prime Minister of Barbados, the Prime Minster of New Zealand and Mrs. John Key, the Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea and Lade Somare, the Prime Minister of Saint Lucia and Mrs. Rosalia Nestor King, the Prime Minister of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and Mrs. Ralph Gonsalves.

Members of the government and parliament will be in attendance, as will members from the church and other faiths.

The British royal family won’t be the only royalty at the wedding. The guest list says members of foreign royal families will be among the guests.

What do the guests have to bring as a gift? The couple has set up a charitable gift fund for causes that are “close to their hearts and reflect the experiences, passions and values of their lives so far.”
