Bical Chevy 6 vs Carvel Stewart Manor 5
Bical Chevy jumped in front to an early 3 – 0 lead, but Carvel fought back and tied the score at 5 – 5 in the top of the 5th inning . In the bottom of the 6th inning, consecutive hits by Katie Tubridy and Irene Krische led to the winning run. Strong pitching was provided by Felissa Bronzino and Irene Krische for Bical Chevy, and by Gabby Millan and Hallie Dziomba for Carvel. Bical Chevy was led by the hitting performances of Katie Tubridy, Irene Krische and Felissa Bronzino. Carvel hitting was led by Gabby Millan and TIffany Moreno. The fielding stars of the game were Kelly Andreuzzi for Bical Chevy and Corinne McCoy for Carvel. A special thanks to Meia Bronzino and Paige from the Farms Division for playing up this game.
Newman 23 vs A Super Move 15
On Saturday May 7th, Newman Orthodontics of the girls Minors played a game against A Super Move to make up for a May 4th rain out. rainout. Super move jumped out to a 3 run lead in the first inning against starting pitcher Kate Wallace, but Newman score one run in each of the first two innings to close the gap. The two teams treaded 5 run 3rds, but Newman began to pull away in the last couple innings. The last inning was capped off by the rarely seen double play combination of 9-6-6-2. With bases loaded and no one out, Super move’s batter knock a line drive to right field and tried to stretch the play into a double. Cayla Newman outlasted Super move on Saturday May 7th in a Makeup of the May 4th Mikowski in right alertly picked up the ball and threw a strike to Emma Reifschneider, the short stop, covering second, who applied the tag for the first out. Emma then noticed the girl on third trying to score. She threw to the catcher Ariana “Shotgun” Vandezande, who chased the girl back to third and actually caught up to her and tagged her for the second out. Top performers at the plate included Brianna Platia who had three base hits, and her first run scored of the year. Angelina Fernandez also shined with three base hits and 4 runs scored. Final score Newman Orthodontics 23, Super move 15.
Newman Orthodontics 10 vs A Super Move 9
On Friday night May 6th, Newman Orthodontics won a close contest against A Super Move. The score seesawed almost every inning, with good hits and fielding plays on both sides. Newman outlasted Super Move in the end 10 – 9. Newman’s Katie Milinic was the offensive star of the game going three for three with 2 runs and an RBI.

Krug Insurance – 9 vs William Gross Construction – 6
Nicole Kuzler and Kayla Fitzpatrick were locked in a 2-2 pitchers duel through 4 innings before Krug took the lead for good on a 2 run triple by Kayla. Nicole struck out 4 in 4 innings of excellent pitching. Nicole also chipped in with 2 hits for William Gross. After William Gross cut the lead to 5-4 going into the 7th inning, Kayla hit another 2 run triple to push the lead to 7-4. Samantha Merino singled in Kayla before Hannah Pineda doubled in the final run for Krug. Ann Grimshaw singled and scored for Krug as well. Kim Velsor and Angelina Fernandez walked and scored for Krug. Maggie Donnelly had 3 hits for William Gross including a solid double in the 7th to start a 2 run rally. Victoria Mooney had 2 hits including a run scoring triple in the 7th. Melissa Ward scored a run and struck out 5 in 3 innings of pitching. Maya Castro had 2 hits and a run scored. Gabby Morales scored a run. Simone Raso played a solid game catching for William Gross.
