Editorial: Merchants Work with Civics And Residents – Shop Locally

At the East Norwich Civic Association meeting on May 26, Treasurer Lianne Gunther reported on the Joint Civic Association party. “It was wonderful and profitable,” she said.

Although it is not a “fundraiser” per se, the two groups do end the day with a profit.

Rob Brusca, the event organizer, thanked all the merchants who contributed prizes that resulted in about $1,000 each – going to the coffers of the civics. That money will be used in a timely and considered way by those entities – for the benefit of the residents.

So we add our compliments to the merchants who keep on giving, and just a reminder to residents for us to keep on giving them our trade.

It could be called a trade off.
