I would like to take this opportunity to thank the many generous residents of the Sixth Senate District and beyond who donated items to my “Support Your Soldier” initiative. It was an honor to partner with Any Soldier to offer residents a convenient way to support our brave troops.
Although my office initiative has ceased for the summer, I welcome residents to explore Anysoldier.com if they wish to send much-appreciated items to our troops. Remember, showing your support can be as simple as writing a heartwarming thank you letter.
Additionally, it is with great pleasure that I announce the success and continuation of my “Cell Phone for Soldiers” initiative. I have received hundreds of cell phones from the community, which I have subsequently sent to the non-profit organization, Cell Phones for Soldiers in an effort to help our troops call home.
