Boys Minors
In the talented Boys Minors Division, Mikes Convenience has had a strong season and many players have contributed as they head into the playoffs. Paul Orbon has provided consistent hitting throughout the season and leads the team with 3 home runs.Mike Lisojo led the pitching staff including a 4 inning gem in which he struck out 11 batters against New Hyde Park Diner. Mike Sokol and Mike DeMartino have also contributed on the mound and at the plate. Mike Shechtman has been responsible for the catching duties behind the plate and has shown continued improvement. On the mound, Paul Orbon and Mike Lisojo also combined for a shutout victory while pitching in an 11-0 win over Dormers Plus. Nick Balletta also provided some timely hitting during the year. The bats came alive in Mikes Convenience against Uncle Bacalas with Patrick Cullinan and Dillon Patel leading a 14 hit attack. With one game remaining in the regular season, Mikes Convenience seems to be peaking just in time! Good Luck in the playoffs!
