Natalie Portman Gives Birth to Baby Boy

Academy Award winning actress, Harvard graduate and now mom.

Natalie Portman reportedly gave birth to a baby boy, according to People magazine.

It is unclear where Portman had the baby.

Portman and her fiancé, Benjamin Millepied, reportedly met on the set of “Black Swan” and two were engaged soon after. They first announced their engagement, and the actress’ pregnancy, back in December.

This has been a big year for the Long Island native after winning an Oscar for “Black Swan” and appearing in a steady diet of films since the Oscar nominated movie came out last year.

Although she has become one of the most recognizable actress’ in Hollywood in the past year, Portman recently told People: “I’ll be out of the public eye after [the baby’s born].”

“I’m so grateful to get to do the job that I do,” Portman said during her speech after winning Best Actress during the Oscars. “I love it so much.”

She also thanked her husband who choreographed “Black Swan” for “giving me my most important role of my life.”

Released in December of last year, “Black Swan,” cost an estimated $13 million and grossed over $106 million in the United States, according to Box Office Mojo.

Portman has been busy in the past year, appearing in films: “No Strings Attached” alongside Ashton Kutcher, “Your Highness,” and the Marvel studios film, “Thor.”

Before the role that made her a star, Portman appeared in other popular films including: episodes 1-3 of the “Star Wars” series, and “V for Vendetta” in 2006.
