jersey shore galleryMTV is denying reports that the world will have to say goodbye to the beloved cast of “Jersey Shore” after the fifth season.

Multiple media outlets reported that the show will go on, but the meatballs and Situation we have learned to love will be replaced by a brand new cast of Jerseylicious members.

TMZ said that MTV hopes that after they wrap up this last season with the old cast, which begins shooting on Monday, they can keep fans interested with a new cast that would cost the network a lot less.

The current batch of fist pumping enthusiasts get $100,000 an episode and every season MTV and the cast argue about their salaries.

However, the network released a statement saying: “We love the present cast, and their summer adventures have just begun. We currently have no plans to recast the show.”

MTV is already working on spinoff shows for four of the cast members: The Situation, Snooki, JWOWW, and Pauly D.

It is unclear what the shows will be about although Fox News reported that Snooki and JWOWW will appear together in a series about “life and love” while Pauly D will appear solo in a show about his career. The shows will coincide with one another, both airing in 2012.

The last season with the party of 8–Snooki, Pauly D, the Situation, JWOWW, Ronnie, Vinny, Sammi, and Deena–will be shot where it began in Seaside Heights, New Jersey after their return from shooting the fourth season in Italy.
