During a visit on the show “Fox & Friends” on Tuesday, daughter of politician Sarah Palin, Bristol Palin announced that she knows her mother’s plans for the 2012 election.
“She definitely knows. We’ve talked about it before. Some things just need to stay in the family,” Palin said during the interview according to The Washington Times.
The 20-year-old was on the show promoting her autobiography “Not Afraid of Life: My Journey So Far.”
Palin also said during the interview that she wants her mother to run for President despite the scrutiny she receives from the public and the media saying, “We might as well be doing something good.”
In another interview with “Good Morning America,” Palin explained why her mom should run for President, saying: “I think she is awesome. I think she is smart. I think she would be awesome for our country.”
Palin has recently been the center of scandals of her own after admitting to losing her virginity and getting pregnant by her son’s father Levi Johnston while she was drunk. In an excerpt from her autobiography, Palin also admits to having no recollection of losing her virginity to Johnston saying that she only found out after walking up the next morning to hear the 21-year-old bragging to his friends.
US Magazine reported that Palin’s book contains an excerpt slamming Johnson as a dad saying that when he was told about the pregnancy his response was allegedly, “Better be a f***cking boy.” Palin stated that Johnston cheated on her “as frequently as he sharpened his hockey skates.”
According to the LA Times, Palin went on Good Morning America Monday to clear up her accusation towards Johnson saying, “I’m not accusing Levi of date rape or rape at all but I am just looking back with my adult eyes that I have now and just thinking ‘that was a foolish decision.’ I should have never been underage drinking and I should have never gotten myself into a situation like that.”
Johnston will reportedly be releasing his own autobiography this fall, “Deer in Headlights: My Life in Sarah Palin’s Crosshairs” according to US Magazine.
Palin’s memoir, co-written by Nancy French, is now for sale.
