Old Navy’s choice to use a Kim Kardashian look alike for one of their commercials has now caused the reality star to file a law suit against the clothing company.

According to TMZ, Kardashian is planning on starting a legal battle with Old Navy suing them for $20 million for using doppelganger, Melissa Molinaro in their ad campaign.

According to the report, the “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” star is “furious” because the company has also been reportedly tweeting to her official Twitter page in an effort to get more publicity for the commercial.

There is no news yet about whether Kardashian decided to the follow through with the suit in response to her ex-boyfriend, Reggie Bush publicly admitting to be dating Molinaro. According to AdvertisingAge.com, the Old Navy actress has also been tied to work with one of Kardashian’s sponsors, Sketchers.

Kardashians lawyer, Daniel K. Stuart of Manatt Phelps & Phillips told the website that he had not yet been aware of the lawsuit.

Molinaro recently took a stab at Kardashian on her Twitter page re-tweeting someones statement that said, “Wedding plans must be getting expensive. Someone may want a nice settlement to sponsor the festivities,” in reference to Kardashian’s upcoming nuptials with sports star, Kris Humphries.

Molinaro took to her Twitter page again to say she was annoyed by the comparisons to the TV star saying, “Were still talking about this?! Its JULY we aired in February…some people have too much times on their hands.” She even promoted the news of the lawsuit saying, “Some people think it is all about them its sad.”

In February, Molinaro told E! News that she was not hired for the Old Navy commercial because of her likeness to Kardashian but that she was honored to be compared to her saying, “To me, it’s extremely flattering. She is a beautiful woman, that’s an amazing compliment.”

The actress did admit everyone she knows thinks the two look similar saying, “It went from me getting phone calls from my family and people I went to high school with, people I grew up dancing with. They’re saying, ‘Oh my god, [people are] saying you look like Kim Kardashian!”

Gap Inc., owner of Old Navy, has yet to make a statement in regards to the matter.
