Can we say mama drama– Leighton Meester and mom Constance duke it out with lawsuits.
“Gossip Girl” star Leighton Meester slapped her mom with a lawsuit claiming that she is using the over $7,000 Leighton sends home each month on cosmetic procedures. The money is actually intended to support Meester’s youngest brother’s health care, reported MSNBC.
MSNBC also reported that Meester’s mom, Constance fought back and filed a lawsuit claiming that the actress promised her a one-time payment. Meester was reportedly supposed to pay Constance $30,000 and then follow with $10,000 a month but hasn’t paid, leaving insufficient funds for her brother’s care.
According to People, Constance’s counter-suit also claims that she had sacrificed almost everything for her daughter’s career but Leighton broke financial promises and attacked her in December. The countersuit, filed in L.A. County Superior Court, Leighton attacked her mom with the bottle and was so crazed she had to be pulled off her mom by her little brother, TMZ.
Leighton Meester, 25, is best known for her role on CW’s “Gossip Girl.” She plays rich girl, Blair Waldorf. She also has had roles in movies, “Country Strong,” “The Roomate,” and 2011 “Monte Carlo.”
