It was very hot and humid on July 21. There was a very pleasant breeze, but you had to be sitting in the shade to enjoy it (hard to do if you are playing golf!). There were 37 men playing and they hit a total of 30 pars with Sevald Knudsen having four. Ten men shot under net par and only one man shot even par for the round. The next tournament on Aug. 4 will be the third round in our match play tournament. As soon as you get to the park, find out who you will be playing against and sign in together. You must play in the same foursome as your opponent.

The next tournament will be on Thursday, Aug. 4. We sign in at 7 a.m. so please be on time.
Competition on the nine-hole course is divided into two divisions. Flight A is for players with a handicap of 13 or less. Flight B is for players with a handicap of 14 or more. The league is a 100 percent handicap league. Any man who is 55 years of age is eligible.
