“Once I joined, anyone could randomly find me…did I really want to be found?” reads With Just One Click, reported Good Reads. The quote exposes the truth about joining a social networking site. For example, an ex-boyfriend friend requests you on Facebook, would you accept?

Author Amanda Strong decided to dedicate a book to just that, Facebook relationships. With Just One Click follows three characters as they explore the social networking site and the doors, whether good or bad, a friend request can open.

The story explores the social networking site’s effect on user’s lives. Strong explains the accessibility that comes with joining, she says, “Just remember, the ability to contact friends- and ex’s- with just one click, opens up a world of endless opportunities to change your life for better, or worse.”

According to Book Fetish, Strong’s story follows three women, Chloe, Morgan, and Brynn. Chloe’s friend request comes from her first love, and first heart-break. She debates if it’s a good idea to even talk to her first boyfriend again, knowing it might bring up some questions of the past. Morgan is a loyal mother and wife, but once she sees her husband is friends with one of his ex-girlfriends, she begins to compulsively check his Facebook activity, and takes action out of jealousy. Brynn has a husband who is always working, and teenage children who don’t need an abundance of attention. She becomes more bored with her life each day in passing, and adds an old lover as a Facebook friend.

Along with being contemporary with our time, this book tells about what we all wonder about: the “what if?” The three journeys that these women go on show how past relationships now have the ability to creep back into our present, no matter how many years have gone by, or how much one has been hurt in the past.

With Just One Click is available on Amazon.com, BarnesandNoble.com and Lulu Books.
