2 Men Shot During Copiague Poker Game

Two men were shot and wounded while playing poker in Copiague early Sunday morning, Suffolk County police said.

Luis Tejada-Pena, 37, and Juan Marines, 43, were playing cards in a garage on Daly Place when two suspects approached at 1:55 a.m. They victims tried to hold the door closed when the gunmen fired three shots from a shotgun through the door, police said.

 The suspects then fled the scene on foot.

Tejada-Pena and Marines, both of North Amityville, were treated for non-life-threatening injuries at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center.

The suspects were described as wearing all black with black hooded sweatshirts.
