Sara Bareilles had just finished her performance and warmed up the crowd who were all waiting for Sugarland to take the stage at the Indiana State Fair on Saturday, when the stage collapsed.

The event reportedly killed at least four people and injured at least 40. The collapse is believed to be the result of high winds.

A storm was expected in the area but hit sooner than expected. According to the Associated Press, the collapse came moments after an announcer warned of the advancing storm and gave instructions on what to do in event of an evacuation.

Just as the country band was about to step on stage, winds slammed the stage rigging, throwing it down as people scrambled to get away.

The fair was canceled for Sunday but is reportedly expected to resume Monday.

Sugarland took to twitter later Saturday with this post:
