Michael Sorrentino better known as ‘The Situation’ was dissed by Abercrombie & Fitch Tuesday when they offered him money not to wear its clothes.

But Abercrombie & Fitch got the ultimate diss today and The Sitch got the ultimate revenge as the company’s stock fell 9%.

Sorrentino took to his Twitter to share the satisfying news as well as link the post to a CNN story that explained the company’s stock had fallen. He tweeted, “Looks like Abercrombie got themself into a Situation!”

Tuesday, the company released a press release. “We are deeply concerned that Mr. Sorrentino’s association with our brand could cause significant damage to our image,” read the press release.

This seemed fishy coming from a retailer that’s known for hiring shirtless models to stand in front of its doors. MTV agreed and called the diss a “clever PR stunt.”  MTV also reportedly said in a statement, “We’d love to work with them on other ways they can leverage ‘Jersey Shore’ to reach the largest youth audience on television.”

What makes MTV’s statement valid is the fact that just a year ago, the company released a shirt that read “The Fituation” and “GTL,” all seemingly-inspired by the “Jersey Shore.”

Cast mate, Paul “DJ Pauly D” Delvecchio tweeted, “Hmmm if They Don’t Want Us To Wear Those Clothes Why Make GTL Shirts #yourPRsux.”

Well, if The Sitch and other cast mates do end their relationship with Abercrombie & Fitch, they have another offer on the table. Hustler has just offered the Sitch cash to wear its clothing.

Sound familiar? As Yahoo reported, this situation reminds us of a time when hip hop stars adopted luxury champagne Cristal as their drink of choice but a company executive soon made derogatory comments about hip hop culture, resulting in rappers like Jay-Z boycotting the pricey beverage.
