Has Gaga been caught copying yet another celebrity act? Many are calling Gaga a celebrity copycat.

Earlier this year, Gaga had been caught copying celebrities Madonna and Bette Midler.

Her single “Born This Way” seemed similar to Madonna’s “Express Yourself” while, Gaga’s mermaid in a wheelchair act seemed similar to Bette Midler’s mermaid routine.

The newest instance of celeb copying went down at the VMAs– MTV Video Music Awards– Sunday.

At the VMAs Lady Gaga appeared as her male alter-ego, Jo Calderone. She came dressed in a t-shirt, black pants, black jacket and slicked back hair.

For many of her fans, this was typical creative, artsy Gaga but for others it was everything but original- In fact, it was already done.

Not too long ago, well before Gaga was born, back in 1984, another singer came dressed as a man. Annie Lennox performed Sweet Dreams at the Grammy Awards dressed as a man.

Kelly Osbourne was the first to call Gaga out, she tweeted, ” I love lady gaga but I wish she would start giving credit where credit is due!” Osbourne also posted a video of Lennox.

In the end, hasn’t every act been done already? Wasn’t Lennox copying someone else? But even if the Lady is a copycat, at least it’s the most sincere form of flattery.
