Obituary: William J. Powell

William J. Powell, 91, of Bethpage, passed away Aug.13, 2011. Husband of the late Marie (d. 2005). Father of Patricia Hoffmann, Kathleen Markoff, William Powell and the late Sharon Simmons. Grandfather of Shannon, Keri and Brett Markoff, Melanie Hoffman, Michael Powell and five great-grandchildren. Brother of Eleanor Crippen, and predeceased by brothers, William and Raymond. WWII U.S. Navy veteran and parishioner since 1951 and Eucharistic Minister of St. Martin of Tours RC Church. Arrangements were made by Arthur F. White Funeral Home. Funeral Mass was held at St. Martin of Tours with interment at Long Island National Cemetery.
