The lead singer and guitarist for the popular band Green Day was kicked off a Southwest Airlines flight Thursday because his pants were sagging too low.

The whole incident involving frontman Billie Joe Armstrong was witnessed by a producer from KGO-TV Channel 7.

Before the plane was set to take off a flight attendant walked over to Armstrong and asked him to pick up his pants.

KTO-TV producer Cindy Qiu said Armstrong refused to pick up his pants, and asked: “Don’t you have better things to do then worry about that?” When asked again, Armstrong told the flight attendant “I’m just trying to get to my f**king seat.”

The Green Day singer and a friend were kicked off the Burbank-bound flight.

Armstrong took to Twitter to address the incident: “Just got kicked off a southwest flight because my pants sagged too low! What the f***? No joke!”

After news got out about the sagging pants incident, Southwest also used the social media site to address Armstrong directly, saying, “very sorry for your experience tonight, someone from our Customer Relations Team will reach out to you to get more details.”

The company then issued a statement saying, “As soon as we became aware of what had happened, we reached out to apologize for this Customer’s experience.” The airline said Armstrong took the next available flight.

Just last month a member of the United States ski team was kicked off a plane by another airline for urinating on a passenger because he couldn’t hold it in.

His gold medal dreams were thrown away after he was tossed off the team.
