A 22-year-old man was shot in the leg while standing on a street in Hempstead early Sunday morning, Nassau County police said.
The victim was standing on Linden Place when he was approached by an unidentified man armed with a gun fired a shot into the victim’s leg and then fled the scene in an unknown direction at 12:15 a.m., police said.
The victim was taken to a local hospital where he was listed in stable condition.
