Man robbed while walking in Roosevelt.
A 22-year-old man was walking east on East Clinton Avenue at around 3 a.m. when he passed seven men on the corner of Park Avenue in Roosevelt. All seven men began following the victim and one asked the victim if he had a dollar. As the victim turned around, one of the subjects punched him in the face. The group began beating up the victim and then one wielding a knife, cut the victim on his neck and removed a gold necklace. After beating the victim, the seven men ran off.
Luckily, the victim was able to walk home after which, he was transported to a local hospital, treated and later released.
Detectives ask anyone with information regarding this crime to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. The subjects are described as black males in their late teens or early 20s.
